There are efficient ways to order stationery …every one knows how to do that  right ?

Maybe…but if there are procedures in place to order stationery  more efficiently, that would be really helpful to you and to your stationery suppliers, means it saves you time, helps your supplier. This will save you both time and will save you money in the long run …..so here goes.

  • Check your stationery BEFORE you place the order. If you order ten boxes of  paper and then later on find you found  fifteen boxes under someone’s desk,  it is really difficult for your supplier to cancel your order, because the picking, packing and paperwork gets done almost immediately on receipt of order , especially for next day deliveries
  • If you buy desks and furniture from your stationery supplier, usually flat pack office furniture is non- returnable if the boxes have been opened. So if you are buying flat pack desks, make sure you measure, then measure again and just to be certain, get someone else to check your measurements. Better still some stationery companies (like ours) offer a fitting service, spend the extra money and use the service, it will be worth it.
  • Be specific with your stationery orders. Asking to order a box of white envelopes won’t do. What size do your want, window or plain,  self seal or gummed…..even better if you have a product code.
  • Ask your stationery company to send you a spread sheet of products that you have ordered before.Ask them to provide you  with the codes and prices….easier for you to keep track of your spend and also to come up with the product codes next time you order.
  • Keep stationery ordering the responsibility of one or two people and give an order number if possible.
